Introducing Aura
🎯 From an MVP in 48h -> to a Pilot Test with +360 users -> to becoming Aura
Some of you will remember the 48-hour MVP I built a few months ago to fix a specific bottleneck at the university where I teach. Well, that MVP has officially evolved into Aura, a platform that is already transforming classrooms.
💥 The stress test:
We expected 600 students this year too, but (luckily) ended up managing a solid cohort of 360. I started the Pilot Test with a controlled group of 60. Week by week, we pushed the limits, scaling up to all 360 students checking in almost simultaneously across 5 different classrooms, on the exact same day and time, during a full semester.
With 5 professors driving the tool at once and hundreds of students hitting the database in parallel, did it crash? No. The platform scaled effortlessly.
⭐ The evolution:
During the pilot, I noticed a powerful shift in user behavior: educators started opening Aura at the very first minute of the class and keeping it active until the last. That insight made me think: Aura has the potential to be much more than an attendance tool; it can become a copilot for educators, enhancing real-time interaction and engagement with students inside the classroom.
🚀 What's next?
We validated the tech. We validated the adoption. Now, it’s time to scale Aura and unlock the true potential that strategic design and technology can provide inside traditional classrooms.
👇 The ultimate validation:
Look at the students' faces. Look at their expressions on the first day they used Aura. That, my friends, is the sign that you are moving in the right direction.
